On Saturday, October 10, at 6pm, we will be replacing both of our annual fundraisers above with a drive-in screening of Karen Abercrombie’s new full length movie ‘Discarded Things’ (not yet released). This will be it’s first public screening since the pandemic caused its other viewings to be cancelled–so you will be the very first audience to see the movie! This event will be held at Covenant Church, 2186 Gastonia Hwy, Lincolnton 28092. Karen will come to the movie and address us live at it’s conclusion. A giving opportunity will be extended. Prior to the movie, from 4pm-6pm, we are soliciting local restaurants to participate in a share night, with 10% of their profits during those 2 hours going to CPC. Can’t beat dinner and a movie–all for a good cause! So far, Mazatlan’s has committed to participate. Keep watching for other choices as they are added.
